One of the best views of the skyline is from the Adler Planeterium...its a 15-20 minute walk from the Best Western. (route)

(2013 Note: If Buckingham Fountain is "on" for the summer (unlikely...but ask at the hotel desk), be sure to go and see the after-dusk 20min. light & water show...every hour, on-the-hour until the final 10pm show. In 2009, the fountain was turned on by April 3. The fountain is about 3 blocks south of the Art Institute in the middle of Grant Park...it lines up with Congress Avenue. (map))
