Purchase your supplies wherever you like.

Design Foundations II Course: Note that your painting supplies are not due until the beginning of the third week (Class 5). This delay is intended, in part, to make it possible for you to buy your supplies at a more competitive price. It is your job to place any mail/web orders early enough that your supplies are ready for class — therefore, if you are web-ordering your supplies, do it before our second class.
If you have any questions, contact me asap.
We talk about course supplies on the first day of class.

If you want to save money,
a) pay attention during our first class meeting,
b) shop around and
c) do it by the first week of class.

Do not try to save money by purchasing cheap-quality supplies — to do so will cheat your own training in control of media and expressive subtleties.

Be careful, however, to avoid student grade ("Academy" "Basics") products — they are designed mainly as inexpensive materials for grade schools and high schools. For this course you need professional grade paints in order to become more familiar with nuances of color mixing, color harmonies and color distinctions.
