    Map and organize the colors you own

    Note two sections -- the "Paint on Hand" section, at the top — section #1 on our current printed Color Maps
    Here you list each color you own, and its Munsell color specification. On Liquitex acrylic paint tubes/jars, the Munsell color specification is printed on the back of the tube, near the cap.

    Below, is a Hue-Value color map (similar to the full-color Liquitex Color Map (p. 79, Color 6th Ed.)
    Here you graphically chart each one of your colors/paints according to their hue-value.

    For each color/tube of paint:

    Identify the hue (check the Munsell color spec).

    Identify the value (again, a part of the Munsell color spec.)

    Place a circle on the chart where the hue and value meet.
    Place a number in the circle to reference the color in your "Paint on Hand" section.

    Recall that black exists all along the bottom edge of the chart, and that white exists all along the top of the chart.
